| Job Description | McKenna Porsche is looking for a top performer to round out our service department.Will perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards by performing the following duties. Receives repair orders from dispatcher and performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Verifies, diagnosis and estimates repair work to be performed. Examines vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required and advise service advisor. Documents work performed (input story in computer) and keeps service advisor informed of status of vehicle. Road-tests vehicles to quality check work performed. Supervises any apprentice technicians as assigned. Attends factory-sponsored training classes and keep abreast of manufacture updates and technical bulletins. Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean and returned in the condition received. Keeps shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer. Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as disposal of hazardous waste and OSHA safety rules. Requires being at work on time and have satisfactory attendance. |
